The detail is on the neck

The ship and world map make Jefferson’s Ocean easy to spot. On this bottle, though, the small orange neck band tells the more specific story: Voyage 24. That number is a useful starting point when researching an Ocean bottle, because the brand documents its voyages separately.

This addition to On the Superior Shelf follows the bottle from front to back, then looks at the shelf offer. It is a photo essay, not a scored tasting.

What this bottle tells us

The front reads Blend of Straight Bourbon Whiskeys, Very Small Batch and Aged at Sea. It also shows 45% ABV, 90 proof and 750 ml. Voyage 24 identifies the voyage; it is not an age statement.

A Caribbean voyage

According to Jefferson’s official Voyage 24 log, this journey departed Port Everglades, Florida, and kept its time at sea in the Caribbean. The itinerary includes ports in Costa Rica, Panama, the Dominican Republic and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The brand describes the voyage as an experiment in sustained heat, humidity and motion. That is the producer’s account of the maturation conditions, rather than our own finding about how this bottle tastes. The voyage-specific log is more useful here than assuming every Ocean release followed the same global route.

Spotted at Mariano’s: $74.99 with card

Our contributor confirmed Mariano’s as the store. The supplied shelf tag names Jefferson’s Ocean Bourbon, 750 ml and displays $74.99 with card beneath $83.99. The tag does not specify a voyage, so check the bottle’s neck band if you are looking for this particular release.

Mariano’s shelf sighting supplied on 14 October 2026. The lower displayed price requires a card.

The tag prints “thru 09/21/27” along its left edge. We have not independently confirmed that promotion end date. Treat the photograph as a local shelf observation and confirm current price, card eligibility and stock with your store before travelling.
