The roses are familiar. The expression matters.
A cream label, a dark wooden closure and a cluster of red roses: this bottle carries the family resemblance plainly. Look below the flowers, though, and the name is simply Four Roses Bourbon.
That distinction is useful on a crowded shelf. This is the 80-proof expression, not the Single Barrel or Small Batch Select bottles already covered in our reviews. The producer’s current product page lists both 80-proof and 100-proof versions of Four Roses Bourbon, so check the strength on the bottle you are comparing.
A closer look at the label
The supplied front view shows 40% alcohol by volume, 80 proof and 750 ml. The back identifies Four Roses Distillery LLC in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky as the distiller and ager.

Our contributor confirmed Mariano’s as the retailer. The supplied shelf tag names Four Roses Bourbon, 750 ml, at $29.99. Unlike the tag in our Woodford Reserve Double Oaked shelf entry, this one does not display a sale banner or a with-card condition.
